Kingsway Global is a software development services company. Kingsway Global builds software for other companies, from early-stage products to complex, mission-critical systems, with a team of developers working from around the world and a home base in Canada.
What we do
We take on the engineering work our clients do not have the time, team, or in-house expertise to handle themselves: designing and building custom software, extending existing systems, and taking ownership of the hard technical problems that come with running software at scale.
How we work
Our team is distributed by design. Engineers work from wherever they are based, and we organize around time zones and clear documentation rather than a single office. This has allowed us to bring in strong developers regardless of where they live, and to build a culture around asynchronous communication and code that speaks for itself.
We also maintain and contribute to a number of open source projects: some built to support client work, and some maintained because we find them useful and believe other teams will too. Open source is part of how our engineers stay sharp, and part of how we give back to the tools we rely on every day.

Where this shows up
One example: we have designed and built enterprise content management systems for clients, software that handles document storage, permissions, and retrieval at an organizational scale, including AI-assisted features for tagging and finding documents automatically. It is one of the more complex categories of software we have delivered, and a useful illustration of the kind of long-running systems we are comfortable owning.
